Safeguarding in Simple Terms
- MH-Pitch is designed for grassroots football clubs, which may include children and young people.
- Your team information is not intended to be public. Access is limited by club membership and role permissions.
- Coaches and club administrators can see information they need to run teams safely and fairly.
- Challenge results, attendance, and leaderboard information are shared within your club context — not as a public social network.
- If something worries you online or at training, tell a parent, guardian, coach, or trusted adult straight away.
This page explains how MH PITCH LTD ("MH-Pitch", "we", "us", "our") approaches safeguarding and children's privacy when the platform is used by grassroots football clubs. Version: 1.0. Effective date: 9 September 2026.
1. Who Is Responsible
MH PITCH LTD (Company No. 17434682) operates MH-Pitch. We are registered in England and Wales. Clubs, coaches, and parents or guardians remain responsible for supervision, welfare, and club safeguarding procedures.
MH-Pitch supports club operations; it does not replace statutory safeguarding duties, club policies, or parental responsibility.
2. Privacy by Default
- Team and club data is visible only to authorised users within that club, according to role permissions.
- Player profiles, attendance, availability, and challenge submissions are not intended to be publicly searchable.
- Session plan attachments, club logos, and uploaded documents are stored within club-scoped access controls.
- Row-level security and role-based permissions limit who can view or change information.
3. Children and Young People
MH-Pitch is likely to be accessed by children and we take the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code into account in our design. We collect only information needed to provide club features such as team membership, calendars, attendance, challenges, badges, points, and leaderboards.
During the initial beta, Player accounts are created through team invite links issued by authorised coaches or club administrators — not through unrestricted public self-registration. This is club- and coach-controlled participation. Coaches and club administrators must ensure invites are shared appropriately and that use of the platform is suitable and complies with applicable safeguarding requirements.
A team invite confirms club-controlled joining; it is not verified parental authorisation. During the initial beta we do not use advertising, behavioural advertising, or unnecessary profiling of children.
Dedicated age-verification and verified parental-authorisation workflows are not yet fully implemented in the product. Clubs should apply their own joining and supervision processes.
4. Club and Coach Responsibilities
- Share invite links only with appropriate players, coaches, and administrators.
- Ensure team membership reflects who should have access.
- Apply club safeguarding policies and escalate concerns through proper channels.
- Review challenge submissions before they affect leaderboards where approval workflows apply.
- Do not use the platform to share harmful, bullying, or inappropriate content.
5. Reporting Concerns
Safeguarding concerns relating to a child's welfare should be reported immediately to the club, relevant football governing body, or local statutory services as appropriate. You may also contact us at MHPitch@outlook.com about misuse of the platform.
6. Content and Uploads
Where upload features are available (for example session plan documents, images, or club logos), content must be appropriate for a youth football environment. We may remove content that breaches our Terms or applicable law.
Video upload is not a standard feature at present. If introduced, we will update our policies to describe access controls and retention.
